The TAMESIS pumps industry (D.GKALETSIS &CO) in the frame of empowering its activities in the Greek and foreign market, took over the way of manufacturing all the types of TORRENT vertical turbine and submersible pumps.

The company EMM.N.KAZIS (TORRENT PUMPS) was created in 1913 by Nicolas Emm.Kazis in Athens and it was the one who started in Greece the production of the first manual piston pump under the brand name “TORRENT”. In 1945 the first deep well turbine pump, named TORRENT is being produced. Since then the industry was specialized in the production of vertical turbine and submersible pumps and for their unique quality, they were distributed in Greece and abroad.

The company TAMESIS PUMPS was created in 1976 in Argos and in 1984 relocated in its own buildings as an industry of pumps with the designation D.GKALETSI& CO. Day by day Tamesis Pumps industry obtained in a big part of the Greek and foreign market for its special manufacturing of vertical turbine and submersible pumps.

Today these two big industries have become one: "TORRENT – TAMESIS PUMPS".

The D.GKALETSIS & CO Company, looking forward to its development, invested in buying out all the genuine models of Torrent Pumps (EM.N.KAZIS S.A.) and now it can manufacture pumps by 10 to 8.000m³/h, and the spare parts.

The Torrent Tamesis pumps company ensures to its clients the production of all the genuine spare parts and components TORRENT. In Addition, it undertakes the service and the repairing of the pumps.
